2014 Kansas Barn Sale Vendor List

Plan to spend the day with us on Saturday, October 4th, 2014
The fun starts at 9:00 am and continue until 4:00 pm.

We'll have antiques, vintage and re-purposed lovelies, furniture, handmade goodness, get in my belly breakfast and lunch, tasty treats, pumpkins, live bands, and a fantastic FALL atmosphere that you do not want to miss out on!  Bring your friends.  Bring your sister, your neighbor, your mom, your hair stylist, your grandma, your college roommates, your aunt, your BFF, your daughter, your husband.
Bring your whole family out for a day of FUN.
There will be something for EVERYONE!
This year there will be a $2 per person admission fee.  Children 12 and under are free.  Portions of these proceeds will be given to two of the Kansas Barn Sale Chicks favorite Wichita charities:
ICT SOS and The Kinoch Boy's Ranch of Youth Horizons.

Our Vendor List for our 2014 sale is amazing!  We are pleased to have so many quality vendors this Fall... over 80 of them in fact! This is our fifth year for The Kansas Barn Sale and we've been working hard to make sure it keeps growing and getting better and better every year.  Last year we saw over 5000 shoppers, and this year we anticipate seeing many more. Last year KANSAS Magazine featured us in their Summer 2013 edition.  And, we were on Folk Magazine's "Live Authentic Tour" list...Visiting the Marvelous Markets across America.  This year we were featured in  the most recent addition of Midwest Living magazine under their events section.

We will have LIVE MUSIC on October 4th from two amazing bands and two individuals:  Outside the Walls, The Tribe Of Levi, Earnest Alexander founder of Youth Horizons, and Clyde Henson.

We have many returning vendors this year and some new vendors.  Some of our vendors have an etsy site, a facebook page or their own business websites.  If they have one of these websites or pages, we have provided a link below with their name, so that you can get a sneak peek at some of the items that they may be selling at the Kansas Barn Sale.  Just click on the vendor names and you will be redirected to their websites.

The Chicks

The Kansas Barn Sale Chicks - who jokingly refer to themselves as the BS chicks.
They have regular BS meetings.
BS Phone calls several times each week.
Exchange BS ideas.

It takes nearly an entire year of work to pull off the fabulous one day event that is Kansas Barn Sale.
Hundreds of emails. Hours of meetings. Hundreds of hours of organizing and planning and coordinating and dreaming.

They believe in working hard. Creating original new things. Dreaming big.
They share a love of all things Kansas.
A love of family and laughter.
A love of supporting small businesses and encouraging artists.
A love of community.
A love of the heartland and hard working farmers.

They know that by bringing thousands of people from across the country to a little homestead in Kansas, it's bigger than them.
It reflects God. It reflects history. It helps non-profits. It grows small businesses.
It reflects the American dream and spotlights the best in the human spirit.

Sure, it's art and rust and junk and food and antiques and furniture and jewelry and laughter.
But it's really more than that.

What else is there to do?

One of the more frequent questions we receive is "What else is there to do in the area?"

So many people travel from around the country to attend Kansas Barn Sale, and then spend the weekend here.
So, over the next few months we'll be listing some additional things to do.

- Newton Et Cetera Shop. This is one of our favorite thrift stores to pick through. You never know what you'll find, but it's guaranteed to be a great price, and there is always friendly service!

- Andersons Office Supply. Don't let the "office supply" name fool you. While they do carry office products, this is much more like an old fashioned five and dime shop! It was started in 1892 and is conveniently located right next to the Etc. Shop on Main Street in Newton.

- The Old Hardware Store in Halstead. This place is pure eye candy from the time you pull up in front of the building. It's like a mash up of a museum, a hardware store, and an antique store. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful! You'll swear you just stepped back in time.

- Fox Theater in Newton. This historic theater hosts various events throughout the year including classic movies on select Friday nights. How fun to see a classic film in a great theater!

- Hesston Golf Park. Kansas Barn Sale is very "man-friendly" and dudes certainly won't feel out of place here. But if you want to let the ladies do their shopping alone, set up a Tee time at Hesston Golf Park. It's a beautifully maintained course and only a few miles from the big sale.

- Papas Pumpkin Patch. Just a few miles up the dirt road from Kansas Barn Sale is a great pumpkin patch! It's family owned, the kindest people, and best of all - Free admission! Take the kiddos and enjoy the activities, grab a few pumpkins or gourds, and have an enjoyable family outing.

Keep watching as we'll add more things soon!
